Deborah Carr, Ph.D.

Founder and Executive Director of Home Run Hitters International Incorporated, a non-profit organization that addresses the needs of those whose disabilities affect successful communication and interaction.

Dr. Carr retired from Houston Independent School District where she worked with students with multiple impairments as a classroom teacher for 7 years and a Speech Language Therapist for more than 15 years. She also worked with students that had mild or moderate speech and language concerns in Baytown, Texas for 5 years and Madison, Florida for 1year. She is a member of Houston Association of Communication Disorders.

Fannie Ward

Ms. Ward received her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Southern University at Houston. Her experience includes 6 years as an Auditor with the Federal Government working with USDA, IRA and the Department of Education. She entered Private Practice in the Greater Houston Area as an Accountant, Business Advisor, and Tax Specialist. Ms. Ward currently holds the position of Board Member of Lincoln City Credit Union and is on the Board of Directors for Touch Everyone Ministries Incorporated, Inc.

Denise Trahan

Mrs. Trahan currently works at Chevron as the IT Project Infrastructure Coordinator. She volunteers for numerous organizations including: Meals on Wheels, American Diabetes Association, Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, West University Little League, Good News Church and Excellence in Ministries. Mrs. Trahan is the parent of a son with disabilities that affect his ability to interact the people and environment around him.

Carlene Warren

Mrs. Warren is an elementary education teacher and has worked with preschoolers at Westminister United Methodist Church School for many years.  She has directed the school program and has a special heart for children.  She has also worked for 10 years with the Gathering, an Alheimer’s Activity and Support Ministry, part of Inter Faith Ministries that meets at various churches in the Houston area.

Bessie Cox – Formerly Worked As Financial Officer

Bessie Cox has a background in Finance and Accounting as well as Networking. She is currently an officer in an alumni association and also works with Home Run Hitters International as one of its Financial Officers. Ms Cox has supported HRHI through hands on participation in a Break Fest fund raiser and has donated and solicited others to donate also.

Jeff Kessler

Jeff Kessler works as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Blake International Rigs, LL

His business is a Drilling Contractor

He is and has been actively involved in the International Association of Drilling Contractors (Chairman 2014-2016). He is the Sporting Clay Shoot Chairman and was the programs advisor and Dinner Dance Chairman which events help and support non- profits.
